Stock’s on 2nd offers a farm to fork Gastropub, with a bar specializing in American whiskeys and bourbons. Gastropub is a British term for a public house which specializes in high quality food. The name is a combination of pub and gastronomy. Gastropubs have an atmosphere which is relaxed and the focus is on offering cuisine equal to the best restaurants in the area with accessible price points so they can attract frequent customers rather than sporadic diners who come on special occasions. We aim to bring people closer to the production of their food, both by incorporating local, regional and sustainably-grown ingredients, whenever possible, and by introducing folks to the people who make their meal possible. Our goal is to have 90% of our products sourced from cattle farms, fisheries, and local produce farms within 90 miles of our restaurant.
Our restaurant walls are adorned with wood from a mushroom farm outside Kennett Square, while our Amish-made table tops came from wood from a barn outside of Pittsburgh. Our hanging lights are made out of barn beams from a dismantled barn outside of Carlisle.
Stock’s on 2nd features a 40 bottle wine list priced under 40 dollars. Our prohibition era craft cocktail menu features freshly squeezed juices and only the best quality ingredients. Our extensive whiskey and bourbon list is one of the largest in the area, featuring a great variety. We also offer our own barrel-aged cocktails, as well as various flights of whiskeys. Our beer list boasts a vast selection of craft beers.
Stock’s on 2nd is versatile accommodating dinner for two within the Dining Room or hosting special events for up to 80 within one of their private areas. A Harrisburg landmark, Stock’s on 2nd continues to receive prestigious accolades and awards representative of their pursuit of delicious fine food, great service and their love and dedication to Harrisburg.
